AI Sniff Test is a browser extension that gives LinkedIn posts a playful, unscientific "AI-scented" score. This policy explains, in plain language, what the extension does and does not do with your data.
The extension collects nothing, stores nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. Everything happens locally in your browser.
When you click the extension icon on a LinkedIn page and then click a post, the extension reads the visible text of that post so it can calculate a score. This text is processed instantly in your browser's memory to display the score and is then discarded. It is never saved, logged, or transmitted.
linkedin.com, and only after you click its icon.There are no servers. The extension has no backend, no accounts, and no external dependencies. No data is shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third party for any purpose.
The extension requests only the minimum permissions it needs:
activeTab and scripting — to read the post you
click and show its score, only on the tab you activate.declarativeContent — so Chrome can enable the icon only on
LinkedIn and grey it out elsewhere. This is evaluated by Chrome itself;
the extension never reads your tab URLs or browsing history.The "AI-scented" score is a light-hearted heuristic guess, not a factual determination. It is meant for fun and should not be used to judge or make decisions about any person or their content.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
