PostTube respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
PostTube collects minimal information:
Purchase History: Managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
Device-Based Credits: Your remaining credits are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage.
YouTube URLs: Temporarily processed through our backend to generate content. URLs are not permanently stored.
We do not collect:
• Email addresses or contact information
• User accounts or login credentials
• Personal identification information
• Location data
• Device identifiers (beyond standard iOS analytics)
• Social media account information
YouTube URLs: Sent to our backend server to fetch video transcripts and generate social media posts. This processing happens in real-time and URLs are not retained after processing.
Credits Tracking: Stored locally on your device to manage your free tier and purchased credits. This data never leaves your device.
PostTube uses these services to function:
OpenAI API: Video transcripts are sent to OpenAI to generate social media content. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data processing.
YouTube API: We fetch video metadata and thumbnails using YouTube's public APIs.
Apple App Store: All purchases are processed through Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies.
All data transmission between the app and our backend uses industry-standard HTTPS encryption. Video transcripts are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers.
You have the right to:
• Stop using the app at any time
• Delete the app and all locally stored data
• Request information about data processing
• Contact us with privacy concerns
PostTube is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this privacy policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
